Another Apostle Spoon Mystery

Ok I think this is St. Paul, but is it an older spoon or a modern reproduction?

No marks on this one whatsoever, not even the tiny dots of a worn hallmark.
Its a mystery to be sure.

When it was tested using the acid test, the result was closer to .800 rather than .925
So this indicates a European Continent place of origin such as German or Dutch?

The spoon has the short, sharp joining piece where the stem meets the bowl which Agphile mentions as indicative of older 17th century spoons.
I wish I could find a hallmark on this spoon, but I cannot see any mark whatsoever

Yes, but the form of the spoon as a whole is certainly not early English. Just going by the appearance I would have thought it is a historicist piece of circa 1900 from Germany or the Netherlands, though, if it is silver, marks or pseudo marks would normally be present in either of those cases.

Yes I also thought it was an antique reproduction of an older apostle spoon form. The strange things are the lack of hallmarks and the two raised dot design at the bowl and the base of the apostle. I suppose the lack of hallmarks is very uncommon but not unheard of.
Thanks for all your help. I will let you know if I find anything interesting in the future.
