Cannot Identify Maker

Postby lincombe » Thu Mar 27, 2014 6:16 pm

I bought 8 spoons in London in 1970. I cannot identify the maker via the encyclopedia. Does anyone have familiarity with these marks? To me it appears to be a "d", an anchor and a lion passant. The maker appears to be "G&C" or "G&Co". Thank you.

I think the makers mark looks like the one for Garrard & Co Ltd

Thank you for identifying where and when my spoons were made!

Good Day,

Considering the position of the London leopard's head mark, isn't that a lower case p for 1970.

It would indeed be the 'p' for 1970.

Apologies, my bad, looked at the date letter the wrong way round and thank you for spotting my error.
