No, it's not a "fake", it's a Brit sterling silver stuffing spoon. Starting from the bottom, the marks are Queen Victoria duty paid stamp, gothic "J" for year 1844-45, London Leopard town mark, and Lion Passant for sterling silver. The "JB" maker's mark might be for James Beebe, though his mark was entered in 1811, and so this seems a bit late for him to still be in business, and the corners of the shield don't match (corners clipped on entered mark). Otherwise, I don't have a listing for the maker. Nice piece (I'm partial to soup ladles and stuffing spoons).
