Hello, first time posting so hope this goes well. I normally deal with vintage clothing, but came across a 1920's over dress that had this silver buckle on it that clearly predated the garment. Despite the hallmarks being particularly tiny I've managed to identify the lion, uncrowned leopard's head, T date mark for 1884 and W.C in an interesting shape cartouche I have been unable to associate to a particular maker. There is also I I A stamped on the reverse and I don't know what this means or where I should be looking up those letters.
I would appreciate your help in where to look next for this mark or perhaps you have already come across it?

Apologies the pictures are a little larger than they should be, I am trying to resolve this now.

Somebody just gave me a link that identified the maker as William Comyns & Sons Ltd, though the examples were somewhat later, do you have any information on them? and can anyone explain why all the cartouches on my buckle are different shapes when I read somewhere that they are normally the same style across one item?

1894, not 1884.

Yes, sorry somebody else already corrected me on that, I must have crossed my eyes looking at the chart! and I can't see any way to edit my posts.
Do you know what the letters on the back are for?

Hi there! I'm not sure what you mean when you say the cartouches are different shapes. Do you mean the shape of the punches?
