Any Help please!

A real ornate basket. Anything you can tell me about this would be greatly appreciated. I know it is old, and I have been told it was British and the lion represents sterling, but I sure would like to know the age and who G & S co LTD is? I do not see a way to post the pictres, but perhaps someone will tell me where to look.
The hallmarks are a lion,a cat, and a lower case r. Hopefully I will be able to post pictures. Thank you for your time to help me.

The mark, G&S Co ltd for; Silversmiths Co. ltd, this particularly mark used 1909….1953 (registered January 1904). Located in Regent street London. Company founded by Gibson & Langman in 1898 and later bought by Garrard & Co.
Date letter r for the year 1912
