Hello there. These marks are incomplete :-( I think it is London though? The other marks have popped out of the silver. I think it is
Henry Howell & Co Ltd (Jonathan Howell) Reg. 1895 Reg. 1906 ..... does anyone agree please? What types of wood were these rustic canes made from usually please? Many thanks in anticipation. Heather

Hello Heather

The suggested maker looks to be correct; as you say such a mark was first registered in 1895 at Goldsmiths Hall London by Jonathan Howell for Henry Howell & Co who were well known stick makers.
At a guess the residual outlines of the two marks which have lost their silver were the opposite way up to the makers' mark and could have been the standard and town marks in use in London from 1916-36, the date letter originally having been the lower case Gothic "b" for 1917-18 perhaps?
Sorry I don't know the wood used.

Mike
