images for 1810 silver...

Postby kojak » Thu Mar 19, 2009 3:43 pm

Hi Folks,

I have just found this website and forum and would greatly appreciate confirmation that the spoon shown in the photograph dates from 1810 and is of London origin. Anyone know who the maker(s) were with the initials CG CW TB, which are all on top of each other in first mark? The duty mark of George III appears rather faded, but seems to be right.

Hi Kenny,

Welcome to the Forum.

That's SG,EW,IB. It's the partnership of Samuel Goodbehere, Edward Wigan and James Bult. It was assayed at London in 1810.
