Help with date and Makers of this Inkwell

Hi
I recently found this inkwell of alfred dunhill. But I can't find anything on the sterling makers mark and the the date. I supouse it is a George Betjemann & So, but Im not sure. Can anyone hlep with the maker, an approx date?

That looks like a London hallmark for 1927.

Hi Micaela,

It would not surprise me if it was the work of George Betjeman & Sons, it's just the type of thing they were noted for, but I am not aware of them useing a mark of that type.
What does surprise me is that it was not submitted with Alfred Dunhill's mark, they were registered at Goldsmiths Hall at this time, but on your third photo there appears to be another small mark. Is that an 'AD'?

It was by this time Betjeman, not Betjemann, they dropped the extra 'n' during the first world war, the extra 'n' made it look too 'German'.
