GA - George Adams or George Angell?

Their marks look identical in the book I have handy (Miller's). Is there a way to distinguish? Does the little triangle next to maker's mark mean anything (hopefully not that they're "seconds")? Thanks for any help. (London, 1855)

Sorry, I can't help with the GA identification, seems it could be either, would need better maker's mark photos than what I have. As far as the triangle mark, I don't believe it indicates "second" quality, as it is likely a journeyman's tally mark to ensure the correct person was credited for making the spoon.

Using my version of Jacksons, and looking at my own pieces, the mark is that of George Adams. He employed many journeymen silversmiths on a "per piece" basis.

Hi Vic,
The glossary is about a month old and abuilding slowly, been giving all my time to the Arts & Crafts Project, the newest kid on the block.

for my money , adams. lettering is further apart and general shape more elongated.
