I suspect this is a Henry Holland variant, but it's not listed in Jackson's. I submit it for identification and addition to the site's listings. The worker's mark may also be of interest. Thank you.

Thanks for the reminder! I know I had this site bookmarked somewhere, but it got lost in the clutter. I just visited it again using your link, to research a somewhat strange set of marks, and swiftly found the answer there (marks not included in the current Jackson's). My ladle turned out to be an Aberdeen maker who had this piece hallmarked in Edinburgh.

SilverSurfer-

I would love to see the ladle you are speaking of, any chance?

Sorry, it took me a while to get matters in order to reply to your inquiry. This piece in question is a sauce (cream? toddy?) ladle marked for Edinburgh, 1832-33, maker's mark "WF" plus "&Co" in two separate stamps, bracketing all the hallmarks. I couldn't find this in my Jackson's III, but it was there for the casual viewing on the referenced web site, and identified as William Fillan & Co of Aberdeen:

I note the "WF" appears to be a double strike or perhaps an over strike.

Here are the pics of this piece:

This ladle measures 15.0cm in length, and weighs 30g (just under one troy ounce). There are folding separations down the middle of both the stem upper and lower surfaces, indicating the ladle was hand formed. Unfortunately, there was a monogram removal, and though generally well done without leaving ripples, there are a half dozen or so remnant tic marks left from the mono lower reaches. Otherwise the ladle is in very good condition, perhaps a bit over-polished, but without dings or bowl knocks.
