Hello!
I would be very grateful for help. I have an item made in Denmark that I think is a spoon. One part is gone? I wonder what the numbers 87 mean? Could it be the year of manufacture? I wonder what the unclear 1b might be?
Best regards

Silver spoon?
Re: Silver spoon?
Hi,
Denmark, three towers of Copenhagen and year 1887 (87).
SG in an oval is the mark of Simon Groth who was the assayer 1863- 1904.
The bowl of the spoon is missing,as well as maker`s mark.

Re: Silver spoon?
Hello!
The spoon does not have the mark for the fin content. In other countries such as Norway and Sweden it is stamped for example 830 or 925. Are there any other rules in Denmark?

Re: Silver spoon?
The three tower mark guarantees a minimum fineness of 830/1000. It is also the fineness mark.
