Feel sure this is more likely a badly damaged spoon or ladle, the bowl broken off - a shame since the maker was Danish silversmith F. Kastor Hansen, best known for his lovely Skonvirke brooches...

Thanks for the information. Indeed the edges of the V shaped split in the handle, holding little silver "pearl" look broken, believe Cheryl is right.
