Is this not an "Acorn Top" spoon? :: A quick search of the term "Acorn Top Spoon" will lead you to some examples in museums and these spoons seem to be mostly Dutch ::: What's strange is that it looks more like a pineapple than an acorn so I don't really know why, but the pineapple has been a symbol of welcome and hospitality since around 1700 because it was such a valuable fruit and I guess travelers really wanted to stay at places that would offer them pineapples so they would stay where the pineapple symbol was displayed :::::
