In regard of partial enamel loss - it happens, not really ``bad`` but not ``perfect``either.There is enamel over 100 years old in perfect condition.
Partial loss decreases the value but that`s subjective.
And it cannot be repaired, enamel being powdered glass fired at very high temperature.
