G v M - G A M? Spoons - Possibly Icelandic?

Just enquiring for a friend. Does anyone recognise this maker?





Possibly G v M, or G A M.

It's been suggested that they may be Icelandic, perhaps by Guðlaugur A. Magnússon.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Heh - if you makes you feel any better, I've looked up a number of Icelandic marks, and was sure I'd seen that mark there, yet still didn't find it when I looked...
