Brødrene Lohne

Post by jamielee »

I have 3 pieces I need help identifying. I know they are Brødrene Lohne since they are marked 830sLo. But I cannot find any info about these particular pieces. No date, no design, nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I've been at for 2 days now. http://s198.photobucket.com/user/foreve ... %20Uploads
I was unable to link the photos from photobucket because they were to large. The link will bring you to the album on photobucket.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Please supply sharp close up images of all of the marks, describe the items and detail the sizes. Resizing your images is simple, most computers are fitted with programmes such as Mircosoft's 'Paint', and then you can embed your images, as many people will not click on links.

Give some time to creating your posts and photos, we'll give some time to researching and answering them. - Posting Requirements

Hi welcome to the forum

Letter writing accessories; letter/envelope opener, wax seal stamp on a dish.

The stamp handle does look repaired or’ roughly’ attached to the seal. I believe the small dish could be used to put to rest the seal stamp and a wax stick pre -made; it comes with a wick running through it similar to a candle .

Thanks Oel. The small dish was throwing me a curve. The question I am left with is how do I go about finding when it was made,(admin edit - see Posting Requirements ) The internet has led me in circles lol. I can find a ton on silverware, even jewelery. But nothing for this particular set. Its rather frustrating

Brødrene Lohne & workshop, I believe in 2011 became partners with Theodor Olsen and today are known under the trade name Brødrene Lohne & Theodor Olsen Sølvvareverksted, they are still in business and you could send them an email with your questions.

Personally I believe the set to be made second or third quarter 20th century.
