Norway Demitasse Spoons 13 1/3 13 1/4 L

Postby neurorocker » Mon Jun 03, 2013 8:51 pm

Based in previous threads, I believe these are from Norway. They are marked 13 1/3 L or 13 1/4 L, AA, and two have the number 73. I assume this is 1873? Anyone know the maker 'AA'?

Neurorocker,

Was hoping for a response on your spoons, had just purchased one of a similar design but not as old. Let's try a bump to see if someone responds.

It could be Anders Abrahamsen, Mosjøen (north in Norway), working -1865?-1911.

Thank you Tosten,

That was much appreciated, is there any further information concerning the particular design of these spoons with the twist stem and knob finial?

This type was popular ca 1870 - 1900 and they was made by several different silversmiths.
I have seen them often. They could look older and I think that was the idea.
