Hi,

This appears to be a Hovedvandsæg, a type of vinaigrette with a coin holder in the base, probably of Danish origin.

See: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=29192&p=71832 for an image of another example.

Hello!

Yes, I know it's Danish, but I want to identify the city and the master. Are you sure it's a vinaigrette?
There is no slot for the spoon, which is usual for vinaigrette, and it's pretty small as well.
Can you tell why do you think that holder in the base is designed for the coins?
Is it a Danish tradition or something like this? I'd appreciate if you could tell me more about it.

Regards.

Hi Elena

It is not that kind of vinaigrettes you think about
Here's a good article of vinaigrettes, odor boxes, smelling boxes (luktdosor in Swedish)
