German marks?

Postby clown123 » Wed Sep 30, 2009 12:06 pm

Any help appreciated with identifying anything on this box. I suspect that it's German.

Thanks.

Hello.

Those look like Swedish marks to me.
http://www.925-1000.com/Fsweden_Date_Code.html

H4 would be the date mark for 1838.
The mark to the left of the date mark is the town mark. Possibly Sundsvall.

Pat.

Thanks. I have never seen Swedish silver previously. Is there any source of maker's names anywhere?
