any help appreciated, its a scissor tweezers when opened a swaddled baby is revealed in the storks stomach. The mark seems to be Swedish 1846 ,G.M. as the maker, the town mark is unclear. my camera wont show the marks so the sketch is best i can do. The Sweden cats paw is struck upside down.
I hope someone can help me with this, thank you.

Hi,

This diaper / napkin / nappy/ nursery tongs (in Swedish blöjtång) are a quite collectable and interesting object. The maker is the prolific Gustaf Möllenborg born 1796, active between 1823 to 1850 in Stockholm. Short before he died in 1851 his company was taken over by Louis Contantin Feron and later by his son under the name Möllenborg and used the maker´s marks of the founder of the company. In 1932 his tools and machines were donated to the open-air museum Skansen in Stockholm.

The tongs are made in 1846 (Q 4), the head of Saint Erik (town mark of Stockholm), and the three crowns in a trefoil the so called cat's paw mark is the official state hallmark.
