Ulla Tillander-Godenhielm – great-granddaughter of St. Petersburg goldsmith Alexander Tillander, a supplier to the imperial court – has spent many years studying the art of the St Petersburg jewellers.
She once said:
„If there is anything like a goldsmith's gene. Alma Pihl surely posessed it.“
Perhaps Alma has aqiured a practical training. I can't say that for sure.
My foto is a single document that shows how a woman at that time could p e r h a p s train as a goldsmith.

I am not claiming, that Alma Pihl was a workmaster!!!
