Hi, The maker should be Adolf Sper or Sperr (AS with pellet), died 1859. Assayer Dmitriy Tverskoi. Notorious question: are there marks on the handle and the spout? Always forgetting when it was legislated to have all parts assayed before assembling the entire object. Regards
Adolf Sper was born in Finland, became apprentice in 1816, a journeyman in 1819 and finally a master in 1829. He had a workshop in the house of Schauman on Povarskoiy street in St.Petersburg.
Some more about Adolf Sper/Sperr. He was born in the county of Kirkkonummi/Kyrkslätt west of Helsinki 3 rd November 1799 and died 6th July 1857. My source says he became journeyman 1821, but? He worked then with master Gustav Lindgren i St. Petersburg. He had as a master a workshop of his own as from 1849 at the mentioned address. He kept a lot of apprentices. Adolf married 24th June 1830 with Anna Charlotta Aurin, born 1806 i Wasa in Finland.
