Antique spoons - Authentic or not?

Hello, Thank you for allowing me to join this site (this is my first post and I hope I don't make any major protocol errors)

I recently purchased three spoons from a thrift shop. While asking how they may have been originally used (on another forum), it was suggested that I come here due to so much Russian silver being 'faked'.

It never occurred to me that something as simple as a spoon would be faked, so pardon my ignorance ... but could someone tell from my photos if these are truly old and correct ... as well as what they were used for (not that it matters - I was just curious)

The "rules" state only one item per thread ... should I make three threads, or can I just show all three here in this one?

Here is the largest spoon ... about 7¼" (18.3cm) long, with bowl just over 2" (5.4cm) wide

detail of back of bowl

stamp on handle - I see maker mark "M.C." for Mikhail Fyodorvich Sokolov (1860-1890) and a partial assay with the date of 1889 ... but I'm new at this, so please correct me if I'm wrong
Image

One of my spoons, a smaller one, has a different type of engraving on the back of the bowl and no maker's mark nor silver standard mark on it ... would it be best to start a new thread for that one, or include it here?

Thank you for any insight to what I have purchased.

Hi SlightlyAtypical,

Welcome to the Forum,

Yes, please start a new topic for each item, else confusion will reign.

Thank you, Trev. I shall do that.
Since it has no markings and I'm only assuming that it too is silver, should it be posted in the "Misc." area of the forum or here?

As it has no markings, post it in the silverplate forum initially and if more appropriate one of the mods will move to a new forum.

Authentic russian spoon. Without doubts. Maybe Mikhail Sokolov, maybe Mariya Semyonova...

How were used? In the catalog of Khlebnikov firm such type of spoons is called "the Russian style"("русский фасон"). They were tea -, dessert - and table spoons. By the size.

Thank you for the confirmation and the identification of "table spoon" ... which I have to guess = serving spoon

Hi-
welcome to the forum!
According to the style and the assayers date, I tend to: Sokolowa, Maria Ivanovna 1886-1908
Many spoons of her are known.
