Hello! Last time I see a lot of internet trompe l'oeil silver. Is it all fake? I've heard is that electroforming.

Hi Maria78 -

you are absolute right - the shown objects are brandnew and fakes. Because of new techniques these copies/fakes are quick, precise and cheap to produce. Be careful!

Faberge, cloisonne enamel, trompe l'oeil - to buy very dangerous. What about Niello? For example these spoons? Is also fake?

Hi Maria78 -

as dognose already stated - they are authentic!
If you see niello you have to check if it is "real" niello, (engraved pattern, filled with the niello paste) or only a chemical oxydized pattern - looking like niello. Often you can distinguish it by the blueish colour - real niello is black. Never buy niello online - you have to see it!
