Hi!

Well I guess this is not a top beautiful piece and the marks have nothing to do with russian marking system so the item have not a chance to be authentic.

Look for some more marks that's not enough. There is no master's mark. I would also like to see a better and sharper close up of the hallmark. Somehow I have a feeling that the showed hallmark is a bit dubious...

Thats all the marks.. this piece is authentic i buy and sell silver 6 days a week if you saw it there would be no doubt its old.. maybe its not russian i assumed it was

the mark is π.o. 1890 84 with a differant looking horse.. is it impossible to be something rare you guys havent seen before?

Let me put it this way. On a authentic Russian object there must be an maker's mark. According to you there are no more marks. That means two things, either it is imported or it is a fake. Any other possibility is excluded. Where is the maker's mark? The assayer is only an official authority guaranteeing the silver fineness nothing else. According to the Imperial Russian law it was forbidden for the assayer to punch his mark if there was no maker's mark on the object. This maker's mark is the important one and at the moment there is none. That means that it is brought to the assayer by the customs or it is a fake as I already mentioned. I tend to rely on the latter one, sorry. That you are selling silver daily does not prove anything if you don't know what you are selling, sorry again.
