None of your suggested alternatives (forgot the sunglasses you too?), the box is not Russian made but manufactured in the Austro-Hungarian empire as the hexagonal Diana mark also tells us (probably in Vienna looks like an A to the right). It is in 900/1000 fineness (looks like 2 to the left). The maker's mark looks like GH. The other mark (84 StP...) is a Russian import mark ПТ (ПРИВОЗÐЫХ ТОВÐРОВ meaning imported goods) 1882-1899 via St Petersburg to Russia.
The Austro Hungarina import mark for the respective period looks totally different. It is a combined AV in a hexagonal frame (Ausländische Waren 1872-1902).
Sorry my good man but you have to remove it from your Russian collection.
