The possibility of the master being Johan Warjus is impossible. You see he was born 2.3.1818 in Juva in Finland. He arrived to St Petersburg 1837 and became apprentice. In 1841 he became journeyman and master 1850. He died 11.10.1862. The hallmark on the very nice case was not used before 1899, so...Unfortunately I have no prospective masters to offer you this time. IW/MI remains unknown for now, sorry.

Hello Zolotnik,

When you are back from your vacation I would appreciate if you post a sharper and bigger close up of the kokoshnik hallmark only. I have some thoughts but the current picture is not big and clear enough. Thank you in advance.

Have a nice Sunday

Qrt.S
