Unknown maker 2

Hi all -

enamel match box cover with the maker JO or ОГ. I think it is Johan Olsonius, a coworker of Gratschev. Any other ideas?

Is there no hallmark? A missing hallmark is not a good sign. Anyway, sorry Zolotnik, but wishful thinking, it is not in any case Johan Olsonius. His mark included a dot between J and O. In addition, the mark on your case is in Cyrillic letters and either ОГ or СГ without a dot. No prospects for ОГ but five for СГ, two from Moscow and three from St Petersburg but these are only guesses. Without a hallmark it is a pie in the sky. Try to find the missing hallmark.

OK, OK, I'm always kind compared to some others so I took off my sunglasses but still I cannot see the the assayers initials, which leaves the town unknown. Let's, however, assume it is either Moscow or St Petersburg. Pick you choice from these or don't:

Semjon Galkin ~1898 Moscow
Sima Gosnoj ~1901 St P
Samil Greenbaum ~1900 St P

It is actually a pity that there are so many unknown masters in Russia at that time.
