Hi all -
Age protects not against foolishness! Why? Just read...

The firm of Sazikov, see http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 260#p54260" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is/was wellknown for her outstanding quality. The marks ИС everybody handling Russian silver knows very well. So do I. When I aquired some objects with this initials over the years - according to the quality - it was absolute clear: this is Sazikov. The family´s dates were long forgotten, what counted was the name. Through a discussion with Qrt.S and piette, I was remembered, that nobody can make objects - several decades after his death. So I started to do my homework again.
Result: The only other ИС (nearly identical to Sazikov´s ИС), who made high quality objects, was Saltycov - by the way he was exactly within the timeframe one must know. My bad!

Here are some photos of several objects which are not easy to distinguish - only by the given dates!

The ancient Romans tend to say "Errare humanum est" dear Postnikov and "Repetitia est mater studiorum." it happens to us all.

Have a nice evening

Hi Postnikov,
Wether Sazikov or Saltykov, they are still beautiful objects and you are very lucky to own them :-)
