"Horizons of Author" is a biennial dedicated to the jewel of the author, hosted in the rooms of the Civic Museum of Asolo, which since this first edition aims to create an international network and a cultural and enriching exchange between participating artists, enthusiasts and industry experts. The objective of the event, conceived by the curator Thereza Pedrosa and realized thanks to the active collaboration of the Pro Loco of Asolo, the Department of Culture, the Civic Museum of Asolo and the precious support of Archeometra, is to explore the boundaries of creativity, promote to international dialogue and inspire visitors. The scheduled events include a group exhibition, a retrospective dedicated to a great Master who will be awarded a career award and various conferences.

Author's Horizons: Between Visions and Matter

The collective exhibition "Between Visions and Matter", hosted in the rooms of the Civic Museum of Asolo, presents the works of 23 artists, invited by the curator Thereza Pedrosa, who have distinguished themselves for their artistic research and whose works are present in the collections of most important museums in the world, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. With two main sections, the exhibition will guide you through a multi-faceted exploration of the most creative and ingenious ways of using all sorts of materials for the creation of jewelry and of innovative methods for the processing of traditional materials of jewelery. From precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum to unusual metals such as stellite, titanium, brass and bronze, from precious stones and reconstructed stones to ivory, bone, rock crystal and glass. From industrial materials such as carbon fiber, silicone, nylon, methacrylate, pvc and acrylic color to more natural materials such as wood, Japanese paper, silk, porcelain and horsehair, up to the complete invention of new materials. From traditional and millennial goldsmith techniques and processes such as keum boo and niello, to the creation of natural patinas with balsamic vinegar, to rapid 3D prototyping, up to the use of specially built machinery and new patented mechanisms. A journey through countries and cultures, ideas and emotions, techniques and materials, to discover the world through designer jewelery. On display the extraordinary works of Ralph Bakker (Netherlands).

Establishment of Lifetime Achievement Award Archeometra

The institution of a lifetime achievement award for designer jewelery stems from the desire to celebrate an artist who has destined his creative strength and artistic research to the designer jewelery sector, contributing significantly to the development and enrichment of the sector over a lifetime dedicated to art. Thanks to the invaluable support of Archeometra and the hospitality of the Municipality of Asolo, Orizzonti d'Autore is honored to establish the Archaeometra Lifetime Achievement Award for the Jewel of the Author. In this first edition the prize is assigned to Maestro Giampaolo Babetto, to celebrate his career of over 5 decades, his irreplaceable contribution to the training of new generations of jewelery artists and his worldwide fame as one of the greatest masters of jewelery in the world. ' author. An extraordinary anthological exhibition will retrace the 55-year career of Giampaolo Babetto, hosted in the Sala della Ragione in Asolo, with over 60 works including jewelery, silver and furniture.
