National Museum of Decorative Arts
Calle de Montalbán 12
28014 Madrid
VI Exhibition of Contemporary Goldsmithing
Until 20th March 2022
Like every year, the National Museum of Decorative Arts hosts the jewelery and goldsmith pieces selected by the Association of Contemporary Goldsmith and Jewelery Designers (AdOC). This tradition allows us to know and spread the pulse of the creation of an art that is both design and craftsmanship, like many past and present manifestations that gain in appreciation year after year.
The author jewels of the VI Exhibition coexist in the National Museum of Decorative Arts with the permanent collection that has more than 1,500 pieces of civil and religious jewellery, made from the Modern Age to the present, whose number of copies is in a constant increase thanks in part to the collaboration of AdOC. As on previous occasions, some of the exhibited works will be integrated into the museum's collection funds.
This year we have 41 professionals and artists from 17 countries who will show their pieces in the rooms on the ground floor of the Museum, with a clean and sober assembly that highlights the quality of the materials and techniques, backed by the curator of Lorraine Martinez de Corral.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday: from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Admission: Free
