In 1961, the BNU estate's coffers was brought from Goa to Lisbon. After a long diplomatic process, part of the property, in the custody of CGD, was analyzed by a working group that was part of the NMAA. The historical and artistic importance of the pieces was soon recognized. Incorporated in the collection of the NMAA, the jewels of Goa will be shown to the public for the first time, an exhibition that contextualizes the panorama of Indian and Indo-Portuguese production, through the contributions of national and international experts.
