This year's exhibition at the Klingenmuseum deals with cutlery from both German states. Of the roughly 2000 patterns that came out between 1950 and 2000, 320 were selected and one piece of each pattern is on display at the museum. All styles are represented as well as all materials (silver, silver plate, stainless steel, wood, plastic, ceramics etc.). Most pieces are from the collection of Heinrich Averwerser of Germany, who also curated the exhibition (with a little help from a member of this forum). A catalogue is planned (but may take a while to come out due to lack of funds).
Openings are: Tuesday - Thursday 10 - 17; Friday 14 - 17; Saturday and Sunday 10 - 17.
Closed on Mondays.
Admission is 4,50 EUR for adults, 2 EUR for children.
