The Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office would like to announce a “Hands-on” session for interested parties to see the fake silver pieces from the Ashley-Russell fraud case before they are returned to the Metropolitan Police.

Mr Alastair Dickenson and Mr Henry Willis will be on hand to answer questions and reference photographs will be available.

The afternoon handling session on fake spoons and other flatware which formed part of the Ashley-Russell prosecution was attended by over 30 people. The session, which took place on 18 February and was free to the trade, was presided over by experts Alastair Dickenson and Henry Willis. This was the last chance to see these interesting pieces before they are handed back to the police.'
