Sterling Handcrafted Repousse Plate/Tray Repousse Pinecones

Postby silvercrown » Thu May 19, 2005 4:00 pm

I found this at a flea market over the weekend. It is a hand hammered plate or tray. It measures 9 5/8" across and weighs a full pound and 2.7 oz. It is stamped in two places on the back "Sterling". It has a conjoined "HR" maker's mark pictured below. The maker's mark almost looks hand done.

I put this in Arts & Crafts because of the hand work and naturalistic theme of the plate. Anyone have any idea who this talented silversmith might have been? The plate is incredibly lovely. Thanks!

Hi Silvercrown,
Nice piece of handwrought silver and perfect for this category.
Thanks for getting the ball rolling.
