William De Hart sterling silver belt

Post by AME »

Dear forum,

I respectfully ask for any information you can share regarding William De Hart and this beautiful sterling silver and turquoise belt. It has his mark and I'm wondering what might be the dates of manufacture. I am pretty sure it is from when he lived and worked in Albuquerque, NM because the person I received this from would have purchased it in NM. It may have been custom-made.

I haven't found anything like this on the internet by William De Hart. All I have found so far are brooches and silverware. Please share any insight you may have. Photos are on Imgur. Link is below. (This is the first time I post so I do hope the link works for you).

Thank you in advance.

I would like to know if anyone can identify the additional mark that is to the left and below the DeHart signature mark on this item. I have not found it anywhere. It appears to look like a squiggly tree with a heart near the top. Thank you for your help.

This looks to be a signature: W and a heart for William de Hart. What do you think?
