Walker & Hall Date Letter Resource

Post by dognose »

Dear Members,

We are delighted to announce that member paulh has now completed and published his long awaited research findings into the dating systems that were struck by Walker & Hall on their silver plated holloware and flatware products.

Paul's research into interpreting Walker & Hall's date letter coding has produced an extremely valuable resource. Had Paul not undertaken this project, then I doubt anyone would have ever been able to produce such results with any degree of certainty.

This informative reference is entitled 'A Key to the Date Letters to be Found on Walker & Hall Plated Wares' by P.A. Hulme. It covers the period 1884-1959 and is available from the bookshop at http://www.wichwood.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have just noticed that the Paypal system for buying a copy of this book included a £2 handling charge for U.K. customers. This has now been removed. I hope it did not discourage anyone from purchasing a copy.

Paul.
