I wanted to let members know that Rhode Island PBS recently aired a three-part documentary on the history of Gorham Silver. It’s really very well done, including not only the history of the company, but also the changing trends and designs of silver in the last century and a half, as well as the transition from handicraft to industrialism to corporatism (and the positives and negatives of each).
