Attleboro was represented at last week’s annual convention of the A. N. R. J. A. by Harold E. Sweet, of the R. F. Simmons Co.

E. A. Moore, western representative of the R. F. Simmons Co., left last week on an extended trip through his territory and will go to the Pacific Coast before his return.

Harold E. Sweet and Harvey E. Clap are members of the budget committee for Attleboro’s Community Chest for the coming year. The annual solicitation for funds will occur this year Oct. 4 to 10.

William H. Saart and H. E. Sweet are two members of the committee appointed by President Frank Mossberg, of the Board of Trade, to push the “Trade in Attleboro” movement.

Harold E. Sweet, of the R. F. Simmons Co., is chairman of the Welfare Committee of the New England Jewelers’ and Silversmiths’ Association, which has charge of the annual banquet to be held March 26.

Harold E. Sweet, of the R. F. Simmons Co., figured in an automobile accident in Rayham last Sunday but fortunately escaped uninjured.

Harold E. Sweet, of the R. F. Simmons Co., has been made chairman of the welfare committee of the New England Manufacturing Jewelers’ and Silversmiths’ Association. Other Attleboro jewelers who have been placed on committees are: Edward Gowen, educational committee; Samuel Einstein, nominating and tariff committees; Maurice Baer, membership committee.

The R. F. Simmons Company, the widely-known chain makers, have moved their Western office from the third floor of the Columbus Memorial Building to Room 704, Heyworth Building, with the Louis E. Fay, in charge.

L. J. Finch, with the R. F. Simmons Co., who has been ill for some time, expects to be able to attend to his business in a few days. John A. Malcolm, who has visited the Pacific Coast trade during Mr. Finch’s illness, left for the factory last Friday.

George K. Larson associated for many years with the R.F. Simmons Co. died recently at his home, 12 Water St., after a long illness. He is survived by his widow and one child as well as several brothers and sisters.
