The wedding of Miss Marion Josephine Whiting to Walter L. Rice took place last Thursday in Franklin. The bride is the daughter of Charles Whiting, a prominent jewelry manufacturer of Plainville, and Mr. Rice holds a responsible position with R. Blackinton & Co.

Elpheye Benard, for several years an employe of R. Blackinton & Son, died suddenly last Sunday night at the home of his son in Fisher St., with whom he had been living. Heart trouble was the cause.

Windsor Cobb, of R. Blackinton & Co., is staying at the St. Francis Hotel and rumors are afloat that Mr. Cobb, and his fellow members of the Whiskers Club, are laying plans for their annual outing in the wilds. One of this organization’s chief by-laws prohibits any member from carrying a razor on the trip.
