Pamphlet: Souvenir History of Wallingford, 1895 (from Internet Archives)...indicates BigginsRodgers Company then employed 50 persons in their plant. Current population of Wallingford was approximately 6500 at that point.

The annual meeting of the Biggins-Rodgers Co., Wallingford, was held Feb. 8, when the following directors were elected: H. E. Biggins, H. B. Hall, F. W. Miner, Wallingford; E. T. Carter, Meriden; F. L. Rodgers, Bridgeport. The officers elected were: President, H. E. Biggins; secretary H. B. Hall; treasurer, F. W. Miner.

The Biggins-Rodgers Company, Wallingford, Conn., manufacturers of silverware, has increased its capital stock from $25,000 to $50,000, the purpose being to enlarge the business by manufacturing other lines than plated hollow ware.

H. E. Biggins, vice-president and manager of the BigginsRodgers Company, Wallingford, Conn., has sold his interest therein, and severed his connection with the company. Mr. Biggins is at present enjoying a rest on his farm and has not as yet completed any plans for the future.

Bridgeport Has an Addition to its Silverware Industry

Bridgeport, Conn., Aug. 2.—The Biggins-Rodgers Co., a new concern, will open up in the West End employing about 100 hands.

The company will manufacture silver plated ware. The concern was to locate in Wallingford but the inducements held out to come to this city, were more advantageous. The majority of the capital stock is held by local business men. Alderman W. H. O’Hara and assessor S. C. Osborne are interested in the company and were instrumental in its location here.
