Birmingham JBS Sponsors' Marks

The book "Silversmiths of Birmingham and Their Marks, 1750-1980" edited by Kenneth Crisp-Jones has a section devoted to the marks of a selection of Birmingham silversmiths. The J section includes the following entries:






Unfortunately the captions are incorrect - the top image, JBS in a shield, is the mark of John Bernard Stagg, registered in May 1920, and the lower one is the mark of J B Silvester, registered in June 1870. This correction has been confirmed by the Birmingham Assay Office.
