The R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. has announced that Herbert E. Reich has been appointed manager of the Philadelphia branch. Mr. Reich has been with the concern, as a representative in the more important cities of the east and middle west, for a number of years. He is especially well qualified for the greater responsibilities which have been assigned him in the Philadelphia territory. Very satisfactory arrangements have been made with Charles E. Hodges, who is one of our oldest employes, to continue with the concern at the Philadelphia office.

BOSTON, April 20.—Charles E. Hodges, for many years a salesman for the Reed & Barton Corp., of Taunton and later for the R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co., died April 16 at Glenside, Pa. He was well known in Boston among the trade. Deceased leaves besides his widow, three daughters, one son, a sister and seven grandchildren.

The R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co., Wallingford , Conn. , will soon sponsor a weekly program of musical entertainment " over the air .” The Wallace program will go into millions of homes through the blue network of the National Broadcasting Co. and a group of its southern associates.
Originating at WJZ at 7.15 p.m. on Friday, March 14 , this weekly program will emanate from WIBO ( Chicago ) ; WSM ( Nashville ) ; KWK ( St. Louis ) ; WREN ( Kansas City ) ; WAPI ( Birmingham ) ; WSB ( Atlanta ) ; WSMB ( New Orleans ) ; KDKA ( Pittsburgh ) ; WCKY (Covington ) ; WBZ (Springfield ) ; WBZA ( Boston ) .
The Wallace Orchestradians will be directed by Harry Salter, the first musical director of WABC and directing violinist of several featured stringed ensembles. The Wallace program will present popular and classical selections .

Clevite to Buy Wallace Aviation

CLEVELAND, June 6. — Clevite Corp., of Cleveland, manufacturer of brass and bronze products, has made arrangements to purchase Wallace Aviation Corp., of Wallingford, Conn., manufacturer of jet-engine compressor blades. The price was not disclosed.
Clevite is acquiring the Wallace property from R. Wallace & Sons Manufacturing Co., Laurance S. Rockefeller and Reaction Motors, Inc. The Wallace firm presently employs about 70 persons. It will continue operations under its present name.
