THE GREAT FLOOD AT SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS IN 1921

Some images of the aftermath of the flood that occurred on the 10th September 1921 when the San Antonio river burst its banks:

The above shows the premises of the E. Hertzberg Jewelry Co. at 121, East Houston Street, San Antonio, whose losses at the time were estimated at $35,000. During the course of the flood an American District Telegraph man, who was authorized to guard the store, shot two looters dead.

UNUSUAL WINDOW DISPLAY IN SEATTLE JEWELERS

An image of the unusual window display at the Seattle jeweler, S. Friedlander & Son.

Silent Screen star Ben Turpin was appearing at Seattle's Pantages Theatre and friends of Mr. Turpin presented to him a large cake in the form of a book. The cake was exhibited at Friedlander's together with a photograph of Ben Turpin with a diamond in one of his eyes for a monocle.

Belcourt, Henry Belcourt, Joseph Gelinas and George S. Stratton. In the front row. seated, are: Delbert L. Ingraham, Walter Bradshaw, William H. Burke, James W. Curren and Prosper E. Charest.

Of the known departments that the above men were in charge of, Robert Hill was foreman of the hollow handle knife-making department, Walter Bradshaw was foreman of the Grinding Department, Delbert L. Ingraham was foreman of Metal Stock Spoon and Solid Knife Department, Wilbur A. Lisee was foreman Hand Burnishing Department, William H. Burke was foreman of Rouge Buffing Department, George S. Stratton was foreman of the Glazing Department, and William H. Belcourt, foreman of the Plating Department.
