John G. Niederer was apprenticed to Tiffany & Co. and assisted in making the silver hollowware presented to the Alabama Commission, silver
for the Paris Exposition, and the Neil Cullen Bryant Cup. After leaving Tiffany's he took charge of the machine room for Samuel Kirk & Co. of Baltimore.

UNKNOWNAn image of a hydraulic press used in the production of flatware. The image is taken from an advertisement from the Hydralic Press Manufacturing Co. of Ohio that only states that it is in use "in a famous Eastern silverware plant."

INTERNATIONAL SILVER Co.An image of a shipment of 1847 Rogers Bros. silverware from the International Silver Co. at Meriden, Connecticut to Newark, New Jersey during problems with railroad traffic due to the strike by railroad shopmen in 1919.
The pilot was noted as Lieutenant Erwin Bullough. The silverware is being loaded by office staff at Meriden.

ALEXANDER SCHÖNAUERAn image of the magnificent wine ewer made by the Hamburg goldsmith, Alexander Schönauer, and presented to King Edward VII by the Bürgermeister and Senate of Hamburg following his visit to Germany in 1904.

The ewer is a massive 21" (53cm) in height and weighs 3½ Kg.
