For the first time the goldsmiths of the city of Chur in this e-book will be published. Although the seat of the oldest bishopric in Switzerland, the Reformation was carried out in the city of Chur. As a consequence, lived in the city mostly followers of the Reformation.

So few church devices have been created by Chur goldsmiths. This also explains why were known by these Goldsmiths long time only a few work.

The e-book by Angelo Steccanella presents the current research matter hereof Each goldsmith known data, files and drives are listed.

For me it was very interesting to see that a spoon from 1748 that I have assigned to the town Hof may well come from Herisau for me.
In Scheffler is a very semilar makersmark (IS) in Hof.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have provided under the same link http://www.ae-design.ch/e-book-s.html more e-books to Swiss goldsmiths. With some, I must ask for a small fee. But most are free.
I will provide in the near future e-books to other, previously published cities of Switzerland and the Lake Constance region.
