CARSON CITY NEVADA CAPITOL (Silverplate & Enamel Work):
Having a plain back with encircled Made in Germany. Somewhat unusual in that the maker seemed to agree with Mark Twain by displaying the smoke in the Great Seal of Nevada as blowing in two different directions! The capitol building appears as found after 1915 with the legislative wing extensions added. The maker is unknown, but a telltale may be in the three crown/castle towers which are cropped as well as the overall detail of the entire handle, to which the separate bowl is joined. The lack of a quality standard presumes this is Silverplate.
