Mr, Duchemin has been tor six or seven years In the employ of G. F. Hutcheson, jeweler, of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, while Mr. Mitchell was one of the firm of Mitchell Bros,, printers, of the same place. The business will be run under the name of Duchemin & Mitchell, ‘The Little Jewelers.’

A destructive fire devastated the principal portion of the business section of Pembroke, Ont., recently. Among the sufferers were J. T. Bolt, jeweler, whose place of business was destroyed, but who saved most of his stock, and E. Harwood whose outbuildings were burned.

Retired Jeweler of Pembroke, Ont., Was Eighty-One Years Old
Toronto, Ont., Nov. 7.—Edward J. Harwood, an old resident of Pembroke, Ont., and former jeweler, died Nov. 5 in the 8lst year of his age. He was born in Quebec.
Mr. Harwood was for some time engaged in the jewelry business in Ottawa in partnership with the late John Leslie. In 1872 he started business on his own account in Pembroke, which he conducted until 1911, when he retired, being succeeded by his sons, Henry and George. His widow and four sons are left to; mourn his loss.
