Below is a price list as issued by the assay office at Goldsmith's Hall as from the 2nd February 1829.

10d for a spoon sounds an awful lot. Today's price is, I believe, £9.50 to assay a single spoon.

Hi Miles,

I think that's the gold work you're looking at. I read it as 'dozen of tea spoons' 3 3/4d.
