Just thought to upload this mark as a matter of interest, it is on a Teaspoon, which l was lucky to find.

Hi Nigel,
Nice find. William Mill served his apprenticeship in Perth under James Cornfute. Mill is thought to have been working in Montrose from 1811 until c.1840. His later work was assayed at Edinburgh and Sheffield.

l must admit l was pleased, found it at a provincal auction and l did not think for one minute that l was the only one who spotted it, but it seems l was :-) the spoon is quite large for a teaspoon (5.5") and is in the fiddle pattern.
